Kenny's Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade

You may recall me saying that I had removed the HESD damper from my Fireblade and suggesting that it didn't make a great deal of difference. Well...

Alan's Suzuki GSX-R750

Well it's out with the old – the Honda CBR600RR and Yamaha R6 – and in with the new – a Suzuki GSX-R750. I'm looking after this three-quarter-litre marvel till the end of the year, and I'm well chuffed with that. The seven-fiddy has a good chunk of extra torque and power over the 600 class, but isn't just as mental as the litre bikes of this world. In my book, that makes it nigh-on perfect. Stay tuned and see if that's how it all works out.

Jon's Yamaha YZF R1

Christ, it seems like ages ago that the Suzuki GSX-R1000 left the building. It was, in fact, and I hear what all of you who've mailed in the interim saying, "what the f**ks going on?" are saying. If you've got an R1, or WR for that matter, and want to email me comments, mods or tell me where you're riding, then please do. jon_pearson@ipcmedia.com

I was crawling up the wall waiting for the ZX-10R to arrive, and then when it did I had a weekend of trying not to park into a dry stone wall. I've had a fairly quiet winter on the bike scene really, and having not gone on the litre bike test with the others, I'd forgotten what destructive powers a 1,000cc bike can inflict. I shouldn't really as my 6-inch scar around my knee is a constant reminder.

Jayne's Yamaha YZF R6 (2004) test

Another year, another long term test bike, before the engine on the mean green Triple had been allowed to cool my new longtermer rocked up ready to rumble. I truly am a lucky bitch when it comes to longtermers. Yamaha have graced me with the pleasure of riding their sporty little 600 this year and compared to the Triple, it really does feel small and toy like.
