Flip flops/sandals, shorts, t-shirt.........

No, seriously, wear the usual proper, protective gear. The instructor/examiner will take you seriously if you're dressed appropriately.
Back in 1870, when I took my test, I had very little "proper" riding kit, so I borrowed as much stuff as I could from mates/dad - I actually took my test in a borrowed jacket, leather jeans, and my dad's 1950s gauntlets!

And relax - go along tense and wound up, and you'll probably make silly errors.
And don't go on the piss/curry the night before.

The simplest questions are the most profound. Where were you born? Where is your home? Where are you going? What are you doing? Think about these once in a while and watch your answers change.

As above...but you need to strike a happy medium.

One piece Alpinestars leathers, Knee sliders, etc give the wrong impression, they all think your a Rossi wannabe!!

I did try to convince the instructor otherwise....

However , I did buy my first bike BEFORE I passed my test and before I did my CBT.....With the money I saved up for my Honeymoon....
Sensible low key is the order of the day..
