PROPER ATTIRE

Many of us 'Old Folks' (those over 50, WAY over 50 or on the way to 50) are quite confused about how we should present ourselves.

We're unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashions.

Despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations DO NOT go together and should be avoided:

1. A nose ring and bifocals

2. Spiked hair and bald spots

3. A pierced tongue and dentures

4. Miniskirts and support hose

5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads

6. Speedo's and cellulite

7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar

8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor

9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge

10. Bikinis and liver spots

11. Short shorts and varicose veins

12. Inline skates and a walker

And the ultimate 'Bad Taste' in fashion for the 'Older Folks'.....................

14. Thongs and Depends

Please keep these basic guidelines foremost in your mind when you shop.

I'm not fat.
I'm not.
Really

Just a bit of a belly.
That's not fat is it?
I'm tall too.
6'1"
That's not fat surely?

Needy? Me?

p.s. Does this count as a poem?

Yes makka, it does count as a poem.
And yes, it does seem you are a bit needy

I'm quite normal everywhere else.
I'm just tucking into another delicious loaf now.

The misses even makes home-made (obviously) marmalade from our orange trees.
Oh dear.

It's made with fruit sugar though.
That's not fattening surely?

I got the book so now just a question of sorting out the still.
We are only allowed a 5 litre still in Aus. and you're not allowed to make alcohol with it.
I'm sure they are going to check.
In NZ you can legally brew your own.
Might move there. The roads are fantastic.
Just the weather is shit. A bit like the UK apparently.

I can buy one intact but only a small one.

But then how much hooch can ya drink?

Trouble is it seems to be that all you can do is make alcohol and then "flavour" it.
Sounds a bit naff to me.
I was hoping to buy loads of plums and brew up some Eau-de-vie.

We should move this over to the booze thread....
