Yes, the miracle of Zinio digital magazines strikes again. Our free tyre test magazine was only available in the UK but we've loaded it onto Zinio and you can now read it for free no matter where you are in the universe. You don't have to download any software, so click here and see what you think.

I've just looked at this online - the paper version is still sitting here waiting for me to get a round tuit.
Top job, Kenny. Absolutely top job.
Others have done tyre tests over the years, a few have even been done pretty well.
I don't think anybody has ever done it better.
One suggestion for further refinement (although I'm sure time is an issue) would be to throw a 600 into the mix for repeat blind testing along side the litre bike, since all the tyres which were only marked down for limited rear grip on corner exit might turn out to be ideal when they don't have to cope with 150 rwbhp.
Top job!

not sure mate, but i doubt it, not since i've been reading anyway, sorry.
But an educated opinion is that you could probably do worse than fit a well-rated set of sports touring tyre, much like the pilot road/2 as previously mentioned, what size are your rims?

i think the test was pretty biased towards race/road tyres, and i don't know how they would fair on your GPZ, but you're probably on the right tracks with pilot road 2's, like i said before, i have pilot roads and they are fatastic for performance AND durability, i fitted them in december, and i do a lot of commuting to and from work as well as plenty of regular weekend blasts, my riding style is quite fast with lots of knee down and wheelies and the tyres look new still (without the shiny bits), and if the pilot road 2's are better than the originals as they say they are, then you're definatly on a winner.

Cheer Kenny - love the tyre tests, (always spend hours re-reading them), hate that we dont get them when you buy the mag. Not a huge fan of on line but better than nothing.
