Suzuki F1 error - useful info for newish gsxr600, 750 and 1000s
      #28654 - 30/06/2008 21:14

I got an F1 error message on the dash this weekend.

After putting the geezer in dealer mode (details here) the error code came in as C00. This means "none-no problem".

On further investigation two bits of useful info:

1.
The original F1 message will stay in memory *even if* the fault clears. The memory is cleared only *after* being put in Dealer mode. Now I know that, it sort of makes sense although very worry making if you don't know and everything seems fine.

2.
According to dealers (and online info) F1 and then C00 is "often" thrown up on recent GSXR 600s, 750's and 1000's. This is caused by the exhaust power valve not moving to, or not moving back to it's correct position on start up check.

This latter was the case on mine. More TLC on the way to the exhaust power valve.
