YOSHI-muppet. Exhaust conundrum!!
      #31038 - 26/08/2008 17:20

Yo,

Well I recently purchased a shiny RS-5 for my 06 zx6......nmmmmm tasty.

BUT

The link pipe has already started corroding. I contacted the seller (Canada) and also contacted Yoshimuppet themselves.

Amazingly I was told to 'polish it out'. Hold on a freakin second young'un! It is less than 3 months old......I replied.......I was told to 'go swing.....we dont deal with purchases that have been made overseas via dealers on ebay'

Crap. Its been polished but funnily enuff....the spotting has returned. No sh*t sherlock.

To be honest i expect more of Yoshimuppet.....but I think the real crux of the matter is they have a bee in their bonnet about internet sales taking business away from UK based dealers....cheers for looking after the end user there dudes

Oooh before i turn this into a negative posting thing......has anyone else had problems with their link pipes corroding?

apart from that I love the can and the actual stainless end section is still lovely and shiny.

B

Yoshimura US products are generally regarded as below par especially compared to the Japanese product. Contact the seller they have a duty if that fails fleabay and paypal.

.....I didn't realise there were a US and Jap thing going on. Live and learn.
Anyways it's karma for being a tight-ass and buying shite off wee-bay.

mmmm
I have a Jap Yoshi (the build and materials *are* better)that I have polished and have noticed that sometimes it gets stained brown (like dried cola) by something coming off the road-I still have not worked out what-I ride in all weathers. It is not rust, and effects both the end and link pipe. It is not particularly hard to remove but is annoying.
