Worst bike journalism ever!?
      #31066 - 27/08/2008 12:46

"...she's hot to trot and high on fuck-me drugs, baby."

Fast Bikes (talking about a Hayabusa) Oct 08. p.65. BJ Kubas Cronin.

I know SuperBike can sometimes be a bit crass or infantile, but that is just embarrassing. Or is it just me? Or do FB readers really like this sort of drivel?

Can anyone top that? What's the worst thing you've read in a bike mag?

Nope FastBikes takes the biscuit, I bought last months effort and got the impression they are trying to come up with new witty phrases and sex/bodily functions seem to feature.

I used to have A FB subscription but stopped it 18 months or so ago, it had started to go down hill even then. Maybe it's now reached rock bottom or perhaps it's still only halfway down?

What a load of shite, a Hayabusa isn't that exciting. (only kidding shiny )

Christ!

I've not opened a copy of FB for years, and you've just reminded me why that is.

I don't have anything to even come close to that - but whilst in a wet and windy Wales last week, I found myself buying a copy of BIKE mag (Sept '08).
242 pages of the most boring, inane, uninteresting, unopinionated drivel.
In which the staff choose a music track (loosely related to biking - Top Gun Theme, anyone?), and try to lap 4 roundabouts linked by dual carriageway before the track ends. In a kind of throwback to Cafe Jukebox Racing. On a collection of bikes that include a Honda Firestorm, F800GS and a HD Street Glide, ferchrisakes. Yawn.
Spawning such purple prose as "the sharp, dusty left (turn) feels like a tipsy gynaecologist using a broken drainpipe..on ice."

And step forward, Khal Harris, for lapping on a Firestorm SLOWER than the Street Glide.

BIKE mag. Same price. Double the pages. Not even half as good.

The simplest questions are the most profound. Where were you born? Where is your home? Where are you going? What are you doing? Think about these once in a while and watch your answers change.

Bike's not that bad TBH. My brother in Law got me a subscription, so Essentially I get it for free!

It beats PB hands down......that's a piss poor excuse of a Bike mag...I actually read the ASDA free mag for the recipes , even though a very old copy of PB was there...
