Sounds like a total lash-up. As far as I understood it the FIM was trying to encourage all national superbike championships to run along the same lines (as WSB basically) so that local wildcards could pitch in at WSB without too much hassle over regs. This doesn't look like the way forward in that regard. Maybe it'll work out. Nobody was too thrilled when Pirelli bought the WSB or BSB championships but it's worked out well for most (teams and spectators).
