This isn't the very latest in tecnological advancement. Trucks have been using electronics to control the brakes for about 6 years now. But putting it on a bike, that's quite an acheivment. On a 44tonne truck they work exceptionally well, in fact I don't think you can buy a new truck without EBS now. Ours are all EBS with ABS and even Anit-Roll technology. I obviously can't compare a truck with a bike but, the main benefit on a truck is less effort for a greater pressure at the pads, so ultimately more control. It's kind of like the next step on from brake master cylinders. Good luck to Honda, if they do put it into production I'd like to test one of their bikes with it fitted. |
