Yup, there's a speed limiter which cuts the revs to (IIRC) 10,500rpm in top, and 11,500 in 5th. You need a TRE to keep the bike in 'fourth' gear. But then the gear indicator doesn't work.
Or fit a Motec!
148bhp is a bit low. Mine had 163 stock at the wheel I seem to recall. How many miles on the clock?
