Re: Booze(and not biking)thread

The old farmer I bought my farm off in the French Pyrenese (it's a long story and a while ago now) used to make plum schnapps/brandy from the trees in his/my fields.
That was the finest spirit I have ever drunk by far.
So smooth, sweet, and very strong.
He introduced me to it on the day we agreed to buy the farm by pouring it over a lump of sugar in a small glass. Yum.

He called it Eau de Vie.. Water of life, and used to make a few bottles every year. He gave me two at one point and I treasured them for as long as I could. It was a sad day when I finally finished off the last of it a few years later.

You can buy it in France and pay a lot of money for an old one but nothing was ever as good as that.
In fact I remember buying some later on the internet so I'm gonna do that right now and have it sent to me here.
