As Handley (I think) has posted , there is a LOT of Snobbery when it comes to Leathers, Helmets, Gloves etc.......Who really gives a shit, AS LONG AS IT WORKS WHEN NEEDED!!!
Yes some makes are undoubtedly better than others, but not all of us can fork out 500 notes on an ARAI....I have had 2 CABERG helmets , comfortable, built in sunglasses a Godsend TBH, and they worked when needed...and they were less than £100..
I saved up and got a SHOEI, it's a damn good lid, but I still wear a CABERG if I know the sun's gonna be in my eyes...Leathers, I've got TEKNICS...EXCELLENT and cheap.£300
My off on the M4 I had BUFFALO trousers and a RAYVEN jacket, with my old Army duvet jacket underneath Total cost about £150...and I walked away with a sore shoulder
(and sore knuckles from punching the myopic twats windscreen)
A very sympathetic Fireman and about 8 of his mates picked me up and carried me to the Hard shoulder, to stop me mutilating the fucking idiot who hit me off!!!
