trail bike tyres
|
|
just bought an aprilia capanord which has trial bike tyres on. Will these grip the road as good as the tyres on sport bikes. Also they are narrower will this effect the grip as well. Your advice is appreciated cheers

Simple answer no altho saying that many "trail" tyres fitted to dual purpose bikes grip pretty well. Welcome.

as above, try and find knobblies that do not have a square step on the side ie the knobles go smoothly round the profile

A bike mag did a test of dual purpose tyres. I vaguely remember the Metzler Tourance got a good write up. I used them on my Tiger. They are really good on the road.
