Triumph team in 2008 world supersport

Well, it really does look like its going to happen. Triumph is to return to world supersport racing in 2008 with experienced team manager Stefano Caracchi. Question is, who should the two riders be? Paul Young....obviously...and?

Lets hope then that the track bikes are more reliable than their road-going counterparts, otherwise they will be a very disappointed team.

They are as reliable as any other bike.
A few burn oil.

This will certainly make Supersport racing more interesting for me.
Good luck to them.

Other rider?

Barros? Checa?
Some young English punk probably.

Be interesting to see someone like Tommy Hill get a shot on the world shage?

Don't know if he'd want to step back to supersport though.

Didn't say he was, merely surmising. I didn't think he's raced in WSS. I thought the R6 was his first major championship. Won that then got a ride in BSB on the R1.

Don't forget the other team looking at running Triumph in WSS, run by Frankie Chilli... It looks like it could be a good year for British bikes run by Italians. Pity we can't get some UK teams doing the same and investing money in going to the world championship.
