Hi People,
I would like to suggest a ride out with a difference.
As some of you know I joined this site a short while ago and mentioned I was part of the "Flying Bananas",
Well, the other "flying banana" Roy, is terminally ill with cancer and restricted to his bed in Stanford le Hope, Essex - (Never to ride again)
I owe him alot because he let me marry his daughter.
On Sunday 2nd March I would be very gratefully if as many bikes as possible roll down his road - he has promised me that if we do he will get out of bed and wave from the window.
So I am appealing to you all, every biker that knows what this is like, every biker that can make a difference, every biker that could help by just giving some time on Sunday 2nd March.
Spread the word - make a dying man proud to be a biker.
The meeting place is Thurrock Services, M25, Junction 30/31 Petrol Station - look for me, I am riding a 57 plate 1250 Bandit Streetfighter - black.
We are meeting at 11:30 to leave at 11:45/12:00, down the A13 East Bound to Stanford le Hope, to Roy's road post code SS170EN, then on to either Southend or up the Burnham bends. - decided on the day.
You do not know how thankful and proud I am to know this man, that is why I am trying to give him this one wish......................

A big big thank you to all who turned out and the well wishers that couldn't,
official count was 86 bikes - fantastic
You will always be in my heart and I'm sure in Roy's thoughts, dreams and memories.
Thank you - you proud bunch,
I Love you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I think today the word I would use is "SPECIAL".
Be safe, be free and ride like the wind.
You bloody heroes - you're all the same, and I love ya.
