Well, that's the third one so it's all over now anyway.

Here's a picture of the new pet to cheer you up.
Fed him a dead rat yesterday and he damn near took my hand off.
Lucky I was wearing a welding glove really.
He's a ten footer which is as big as they get.
And he's drinking heavily! Yey

Yes I consider myself very lucky, not because of the age difference which is irrelevant to either of us, but because she's such a fantastic person.

Great sense of humour, understands me (which is a feat in itself), loves bikes (learning to ride herself), sensible, mature, and despite what I put in a separate thread actually encouraged me to buy a track bike. She's my best friend, top women and I love her to bits. Shame it took me two false starts before I met her, but then if I'd have met her when I met my first wife I'd be in prison and on the sex offenders register.

OMG what a soppy post, I must be in touch with my feminine side.

nothing soppy about that mate, you obviously love your woman, and you don't have to justify talking about it with humour. i haven't seen my wife and kids since the 25th march this year, i love them to bits and miss them dearly, but thats army life for ya!

my wife actually flies out to cyprus for a week next week, the kids are being looked after by their grandparents, we've been married over eight years but never had a honeymoon cus she was pregnant, so this is our time to enjoy ourselves. i've planned to renew our wedding vows, but she doesn't have a clue, its all a big suprise. i've got the church booked and everything!

she goes back to germany the following week, and two weeks after that she comes back but this time with the kids, got a villa booked for two weeks of family fun!

seriously mate, feel free to talk about your loved one as much as you like, there's nothing wrong with showing your feelings pal!

My 1st wife was a big mistake...the girl in between, who is the mother of my little boy....was a bigger one...the Beautiful woman who I am now married to is the One.

We were Childhood sweethearts, I buggered off and joined the Army, she became a nurse, we both married other people, ......then I left the Army , bumped into her a week after leaving , and the rest as they say is History.

And I wouldn't swap the grumpy cow for anything!

aaaaaaah.

I've got one of them too but she went and had another mans child, a boy. Obnoxious, spoiled little brat.

So I thought I'd stick with the one I've got until she gets rid of him.

I've had mine for 17 years next month, I've spent over half my life with the same woman And she's older than me, not a lot but I still let her know 8 years of the restraining ring on the finger next month too
Can't complain, we rarely argue and have 4 wonderful little kiddies, ah I'm going all mushy now.

I got through a few women to find the right one, I've tried half my age twice my age and everything in between to no real avail never really found a soulmate till my Mrs, worked out well though got to do what I like, always had trouble commiting always found myself doing a runner when things started getting seriuos, I did manage 2 long relationships one OK one not so good(only stayed for the sex ). When I was I was 41ish I met me Mrs and 3 of her kids then we had a kid of our own.
Sorted now have the perfect relationship couldn't be happier.

Only had two real relationships before i met my wife, and its debatable wheather or not they were real relationships, the first was when i was 15 and it lasted 9 months but at 15 i don't think its really that much of a relationship, more so an experiment.

The second lasted 3 and a half months, and i was in Bosnia for three months of that! I went back to the UK during my Bosnia tour for two weeks R&R, met up her, got together for those two weeks, went back to Bosnia and she wrote to me talking about marriage and kids! Needless to say when i got back again i binned her!

Lots of girls since then but nothing solid until i met my wife, never looked back since!

Al, looks like me an' you are the only ones who got it right first time!

Married for 14 years now - her enthusiasm for bikes has worn off a little over the years (probably in direct relation to me getting ever faster and more powerful bikes!), but she's never complained or tried to stop me from enjoying my chosen leisure activity.
She's a gem, really, and has produced the daughter I always wanted, for which I never really show her the gratitude she deserves.

I kinda like the idea of secretly arranging the marriage vow renewal, though. Mind if I pinch it?
