When I did direct access it was theory first.

You don't have to do your theory before you do your CBT, you can do your CBT before or after your theory test. However, if you are doing one of those 5 day courses, you need to get the theory done first because you won't have time to take it between your CBT and your test, and you need to have passed before then...

I been in your position...like KWH says, CBT can be done before the Theory test, that's the order I did it in, and there was no problem at all.

The Theory test is for your big bike licence as far as I'm aware, you only need the CBT and not the theory if your on a Sc***er!
