Cheddar Gorge
      #33074 - 27/09/2008 23:16

A few months back SB ran a feature called "knee down britain". Seeing as i live in wales, i thought it would be a nice idea to pop over to the other side of the border an see what you guy's got.

Seeing as i didnt wanna go trekking into northumbria/ surrey/ northamptonshire etc.... I turned to the south west article. Straight away cheddar gorge caught my eye becuase the mrs wanted to come, and she like's nice sight's .

The trip down was mostly motorway, but when we got onto the A and B road's the fun started. Fair do's, you guy's can make some nice road's. But not as nice as our welsh one's

The road through the gorge is absolutley stunning, the view's aint bad either . Twisty is not the word for it!! And with the view's the mrs was happy too.

All in all, a great day had but with some sore arses at the end of it

Here's some pic's:

Here's some for the lad's (Mrs Tank):

Took the boys there a couple of years back. The caves are magnificent, even the boys were struck by the size and beauty of them(never known them so quiet for so long). You really should try and get back there for a weekend.

Did you visit the cheese factory? The different flavoured cheeses really tease the palate. They also make/sell pickles and chutneys to accompany them - You guys might like the 'Military Pickle'. You can sample each before you buy and they go down nice with a bottle(or two) of red
