Re read the tone of your first post. the 75 extra cc has a lot to do with the way the engine makes it's power and the delivery ie

.
The RC8 again an Ugly bike but one I was intested in buying untill I saw one in the local dealers, close to my budget (second hand £8000ish) IMO crap finish quality.
I'm not trying to put you down due to your experience in the least, but your first post came across heavily critical so I gave you some of your own medicine. I think we are all entltlied to oppinons.
But
Quote:

Some of you sound like my girlfriend: "It is ugly", "I hate it's tail", "i don't love it", "it is so ugly i don't bother riding it", "gixxer is so much more beautiful", "bikes ruin my make-up get a car" oops the last one is just what she says but off the point, the rest is what you also say.

and

When someone says "i went to the shop, it was so ugly i didn't ride it" oh my knee sliding Jesus what's wrong with people? why so much attention to the looks and not to the things that REALLY matter...so many things to check: brakes, fork, clutch, exhaust, frame etc etc. Then it's so many things to realize on the first test ride, handling accel, braking, wheelies:P Please never, never again go to a dealer a judje a bike from the looks. From the looks of it you can say "it is not for me" period. No judjing for you, let for the ones that can do it because they have actually ride it;) (i am not trying to be offensive and sorry if my last paragraph seems like it).

not the most polite IMO in this day and age all bikes are so good and close that it does make a difference.
and when you come out with statement like
Quote:

To start with, daytona is the best middle-weight bike around (according to me of course), i'd dare to say it's better (not faster, not stronger, just better) than 848.

any credibility goes right out of the window that has to be the most ridiculous statement I've read in a long time IMO.

I'm glad you like your 675 and I'm sure it's a good bike but you accuse us of being blinkered when I think you'll find it's you that is.
I like sarcasm (being Ironic) it's the lowest form of wit and suits me perfectly.
Next time you decide to critise others oppinions don't be surprised when you get the same back.
Welcome maybe we can all learn fom each other eh.

To start with, I'm glad you talk like this, i kinda respected after being on the forum for some time reading your comments and was kinda disappointed with your initial reply. To our subject now

Re read the tone of your first post

I wrote on my post that i'm sorry if it was insulting, it wasn't suppose to. I am really sorry if you (or anyone else) felt insulted. It wasn't the point.

RC8 is like a big playmobile:P

I was critical to people that express their opinion on the bikes performance and quality based on the looks of it. I really hope that you don't disagree with this.

I was trying to be kinda funny, maybe my english way of exressing my funny (?) self isn't what it is supposed to be but i read a post about someone don't getting to the bike because it was not pretty. I think this is something you expect from someone that isn't serious about judjing the bike. I wouldn't buy a laptot based on appearance; why buy a bike? Still hope we agree on this.

Why you disagree with this? It justs states (again trying to be funny in parts (i will stop it from now on:P)) in an expressive way why you should get on the bikes when you have the test ride option. There are more to discover in bikes that looks and i believe that 675 looks, is way less than what this package deserves. As i say you may not like a bike to be yours because it's ugly but you can't have an opinion about it being a good or bad bike unless you ride it. Am I wrong here?

I apologized for it in the end of the paragraph i knew it came out more aggressive than what it should be.

There is no credibility in people expressing opinions. Everybody's got one based on personal experience so no one is ever objective. It may sound ridiculous to you and maybe the best way to put it would be "675 fits my driving style better than the other bikes" but what i said was the truth. IMO (it goes without saying) 675 is better even than 848. It may be because i am not capable enough of riding 848 or r6 to their full potential or even properly, but still it is IMO. Why you think it's ridiculous?

Everyone is more or less i think.

You know that is the problem with forums, while i really like being sarcastic because i think it's funny, the other that doesn't hear your tone and doesn't know you is easy to misunderstand your attempt to be funny for being critising and impolite.

I like my opinions being critisised (that's why i express them on forums) but please do it in a non-making-fun-of-me manner;)

I know i have a lot to learn hopefully you can help

Anyway 657 is the subject here and i'd like to hear some other opinions now that it's been quite some time since it is out on the market. I am curious how it's track times measure up against the other bikes on your tracks (when riden by ordinery people of course not profs).

Cor blimey Chappers. Bit touchy today aren't we.
His post was clearly meant to be taken as tongue in cheek and written as a biased 675 fan.
