I've managed to change the stock engine cases on a Daytona 675 from the original grey colour to all black. The problem is, all the models up to the new 09 have an aluminium engine block that IMO makes the bike look a little cheap. Would anyone know if were at all possible to either powder coat or paint the engine black. The area in question is very small, but to my eyes significant! Any help much appreciated.

It looks as though by painting the engine, there are over-heating issues involved. Seeing as though I'm only looking to paint sections of the engine that are visible, do you think this would have any bearing on what I'm trying to do?

Well I'm not really to up on it TBH but this stuff is reputedly heat dispersant. http://www.supplyshed.biz/motorcycleheatdi.html the best way forwards would be to contact the manufacturer.
