Hello everybody out there from Greece i have a k5 1000 and when i ride it on a bumpy road the bike doesn't absorb the bump but it goes over it.I ride the bike with factory settings,it has 15000 miles and i'm the second owner. When i check the sag its less than 20mm and to get at least 25mm i have to back of all the preload off.Does anybody of you have the same problem with a k5-k6 and what could i do?Any help would be great.Greetings Dennis.

If you can find a suspension specialist get them to set it up if not.... When you say you have 25mm of front preload once wound off I presume that is without rider you want to be looking at 38-40mm front preload and 30-35 rear with your sat on the bike. the next step is to back off the damping try 3-4 clicks of compression damping until you are comfortable. I would also advise having a play with the rebound damping too the forks should spring back smoothly but not too quickly. the idea behind setting your damping is to find a balance that feels comfortable to you and it helps to balance the front and rear together it's pointless having the front suspesion set to your specs if the rear is smashing the crap out of your kidneys.
