Std R1 y2k can on 99 bike

Anyone know if a std titanium end can and link pipe from a 2000 model R1 will fit a '99 R1. I need a quiet can for trackdays and they're going dirt cheap on fleabay

Itr should fit just fine the first major update was the 2002 R1.

Thats what I was thinking, but theres quite a few detail differences between the 99 & 00 models - the screens aren't interchangeable for example. I think I'll just go for it anyway

Well if it doesn't fit you can always put it back on fleabay and hopefully recoup your money
