Hi guys,
Once upon a time I posted about a Micron system for my 2007 R6, and was told to be careful about noise limits.
Well guess what?
When tested last week it came in at 106db! Not good.
Are there any 'cheats' I can use to get it through noise testing?
I was thinking about perhaps jamming a red bull can up there tight between the baffle and exhaust body to stop it vibrating.
As long as the gas gets around it (which it should), I think that would knock a few db off?
Any other suggestions?
PS Most will be better than mine!
Ta muchly!

DB killer. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORCYCLE-MOTORBI...3QQcmdZViewItem MY bike was measured at 109db at Brands twice last year and 102db with the supplied baffle.

They are usually youngsters that have been riding a few months. the same people who fit LEDs and paint the letters on their tyres.

The guy I bought mine off of kept re-packing the can. Just push it in there good and tight. I expect this would have an affect on performance but then again that DB killer would not be doing any good. I got fed up with the thing, sent the headers to MHP and had them modified to take one of his end cans. Now comes in at 103db no problem. £360.00 by the way.

Thanks Dave,
I approached MHP off the back of your response in 'the trackday' thread and got a similar answer from Mark.
Truth is, as long as I can get through noise testing I'm happy to whip a DB Killer out and put the supplied baffle back in. No-one will notice the difference from the track side, and to be fair, the likes of Mallory, Rockingham etc barely test for track days.
MHP is the 'proper' solution, but at £360 vs £11.95, I've got to take the cheap and dirty route I think...
