The ULTIMATE braking upgrade?
      #38843 - 14/02/2009 11:56

I sit here struck dumb in awe. It was all I could do to keep myself from buying them myself!

Superbike massive, can you buy these and test them for us by installing them on one of your long-termers?

Al's Scooter would be an appropriate test mule, perhaps?

Excellent! The must have bolt-on, ooops sorry glue-on, accessory for discerning fukwits!

I must check the old ebay purchase history for this item to see if any actually got bought.

Still, at least they might help to keep the road crud off the calipers but at the cost of the purchaser being universally shunned by the bike riding fraternity (and sorority) for being a nob.

The English is a tad sketchy (a bit like this forum, occasionally) but the bit about the "3 day massage" is a worry.

On a par with buying used kneesliders off fleabay.

There must be shedloads of this kind of cr^H^H essential performance upgrade, and I think Superbike should be buying or blagging as much of it as it can and bolting all of it to Al's scooter. I mean seriously, I reckon some faux Brembo calipers, a pair of those little tyre valve covers that light up when the wheel spins, a neon downlighter kit, a leopardskin seat cover, a set of maltese cross mirrors and some sticky-back fake carbon-fibre could give it the kind of serious credibility that it has hitherto been lacking!

Just blag the stuff with a straight face, tell them you'll be fitting it to one of your long termers (not which one, obviously - why spoil the surprise?) and write it all up as you do it with the correct degree of gravitas, and who could ever possibly accuse you of taking the piss or anything?

I am totally with you on this one Ken.

It would make an excellent centrefold or even, dare I say, a free A2 poster.

Go on KP, you know it makes sense!

Just so long as whichever sad numpty actually BUYS these doesn't suddenly expect his brakes to work like Brembos....

Do they make a plastic cover for the fork bottom so that they look like they're radially mounted? THEN we'd be talking.....
