Just a quickie.
I'm just in the process of tarting up the old R1 for a photoshoot tomorrow night for a piece in the IAM magazine about the biker drop-in and was wondering if anyone had any experience of using Muc Off stuff. In particular, the Muc Off fast action bike cleaner spray and the after wash maintenance bike spray (with PTFE).
I usually use Auto Glym but have run out and I bought a load off muc-off stuff a while back but have never used it before.
I know SB were giving away muc-off kits a while back with subscriptions so I'm guessing it's ok.
Ta very much.

i cant vouch for the specific bike cleaner youre asking about, but other muc off stuff i have used on my pushbikes works really well, its my personal cleaner of choice. and to be completly honest, all of their different cleaners are probably the same thing just with different names on...

I've used Muc Off and it's as good as any of the other better cleaners. I can't even remember what I'm using at the moment TBH.
None of them are 'spray on and wipe off = gleaming bike" as they claim, good old elbow grease seems to be the answer unfortunately. That reminds me I'll shout the wife and tell her she can take a break now and make me a coffee.

Thanks for the words of wisdom, guys - the old girl has cleaned up a treat.
That's the R1 BTW, not Mrs. fastjonny. Bugger-Off would be more appropriate for her.
Sorry, only joking dear.

Several of the bike shops I frequent have stopped selling Muc-Off, after reports that long term use caused staining to alloy parts. My local shop tells me that the stuff Muc Off now sell has been improved to solve the problem - so if you've had the stuff in the garage for a while, it may not be the "new - improved" fomula! BTW, I've never found anything to substantiate the claimed problems - I used Muc Off for years, quite happily, and only changed 'cos I can't buy it anywhere locally.
