suzuki gsxr 600 k1 bake brake problem

just started my bike up after 6 months in garage
back brake pedal just goes down without operating brake.
is it the master clynder or do I just need to bleed them .

if you just parked it up and came back later to find it like that then you have an issue.have you lost fluid?

Brake fluid is also hydroscopic (it sucks in water).
So 6 months sitting still, not getting hot, would be a good time to replace all the fluid.

Not saying that's a bad idea, but water in the fluid wouldn't cause the lever to be spongey until the fluid had heated up.

It just needs a bleed, but a front AND rear fluid change is a good idea. Especially if the fluid seems darker than normal.

I would start by making sure the caliper hasn't seized, then bleed fresh fluid right through the system.
It could be the master cylinder in which case a seal kit should fix it.
