How good are slipper clutches and how easy are they to fit? I have been offered a brand new Sigm slipper clutch but I dont want to go replacing my clutch for a sliper clutch if it is not going to be a fairly easy job, I changed the clutch plates on a bike before but does a slipper clutch have any speacial setting up requirements? any advice or tips will be greatfully received

No harder than replacing the STD clutch hub and basket bolts straight in. I'm guessing that it should be set up but it would be sensible to phone Neil Spalding of Sigma performance http://www.sigmaperformance.com/ Decent bloke.

cheers Chappers, will the slipper clutch make much of a difference? I am a little prone to ard downshifting and occassionaly downshifting mid bend (not a great idea) which often causes the back to step out and me to need a change of underwear! will this help with that?

Yes. A slipper clutch will help keep the bike more stable on corner entry. Have a read of this article* it's very informative and like all upgrades not much point in doing it unless you have an idea of what it will do and what you want it to do. I like them, although I have coped fine in the past even on my SP1 bar Graham Hill Bend which I must admit was fun. * http://www.sigmaperformance.com/slipperclutch.html
