No go for me, I'm working.

I may well be out in April though, but it'll be a very late booking because I want to see what the weather's up to first.

Silverstone is great especially if you are on the GP track, its one of the best places if you have a 1000 as you get to use most of the power of the bike on the sweeping curves after the start finish straight and of course there is Hangar straight which is great when your tucked in with the throttle pinned.
As far as tips go all I can say is take it steady for the first few sessions as even in April the track is likely to be cold and I ahve seen loads of people throw it down the road on the first few corners pushing to hard on cold tyres and cold track, its better to take it steady and enjoy a warm track in the afternoon! you will also learn that you dont need to brake as early as you think at the end of hangar straight and that the first corner after the start finish straight (which is not really that straight) is more open than you think, I expect you will keep saying to yourself I could ahve gone faster through there!!!!
just enjoy the day and take the bike home in decent condition allbeit needing some new rubber!
Oh make sure you have plenty of fuel its a long fast track and it does make bikes guzzle!!!
