Hungarian MotoGp-shit has hit the fan
      #39794 - 06/03/2009 17:25

So-hot off the press in fact so hot its only 10mins ago I received THE phone call.
The constructors, Sedesa have ceased work at the site-it seems the whole project was based on Sedesa receiving a certain amount of funding from the Hungarian goverment(what percentage I dont know but I would surmise give the early press releases of last year-about 30%) They havent had that funding because the Hungarian Goverment and Hungary are seriously in deep recession(and as a matter of public opinion its been inflicted by the current Goverment who have already splashed out and spent the 90bn euros the IMF lent them and not a forint has been seen by the general public except to wave at the senior politicians who just took delivery of their new Audi 3.0 summit cars )-so until Sedesa get a concrete agreement they will do nothing. Since my last visit in Decemeber the only work has been that the rubbish lorry has been-
Unless another company steps into invest if I was a betting man I would put money on Bulgaria moving their plans forward to host it NEXT year! You heard it here first Fuck bugger fuck fuck fuck-all those poor sods who have invested in building accomodation-renovating their guest houses etc-for nothing-

oooooooh sheeeeeeet. I did wonder. Particularly after announcements of spending reductions in all areas of motorsport.

They will definitely need "concrete funding"
