Just been playing with the beta version of Apples browser Safari 4 for the past week and have to say it is very, very good.
you can download it here
It is much faster, and has some very nice itunes flickthrough type touches. It does over write your old safari though.

It overwrites the Application only.
It will keep your bookmarks and settings. I recommend you allow it a few mins to "build" a history-looks and works very well-you get to flick over past pages like albums on the iphone. You don't have to do this right away but it is so cool once done.
PS I should have mentioned it has different Leopard and tiger versions

yep, me too, I have only used Firefox once this week-and that was becuase I wanted to check disc caching and needed another browser, although I will miss some of the FF add ons
just started using it on my macbookpro-so far so good
there is some more cool stuff in the prefs too
