No pressure then? An exMotoGP rider teamed up with an exBSB rider who has been on the podium already this season. Should be interesting.

Great news. That just makes SBK even more interesting for me.

MotoGP might just be a snore fest.
Specially since the only brit is such a boring twat.

I wonder how the various contracts were worded in order for them to drop Robbie just like that

Injury and performance clauses maybe. Plus Hopper brought a big dowry from Monster

When the flag drops, the bullshit stops.

I think the '08 Kwak MotoGP bike was a dog.
Ant West has gone on to show his talent in WSS, I hope Hopkins will do the same in WSB.

Let's face it, Hoppers didn't live up to the hype in MotoGP.

i thought that 4th position at the end of 2007 season wasn't too bad given the bike he had.
He was only beaten a Honda, Yamaha and a Ducati and every year he's rode, he's beaten his team-mate. (IIRC)

Stick him and the Duke and he'd got quite well IMO

In all those years, he's never won a race, only a couple of podiums (or podia?).

I just remembered something Mick Doohan said about Casey Stoner, "you can teach a fast rider to stop crashing, but it is nearly impossible to teach a slow rider to go fast".

Hopper needed to be at the front challenging.

Let's see how he goes in WSB.
The Stiggy bike and team are very good.

No arguement from me on that. Be interesting to see how he tests against Haslam in Almeria.
He needs to be consistently in the top 6(4) for the rest of the season.

Not this season, not after missing 4 races. Win races? I think so, Win the championship? Not unless Spies and Haga have really, really bad luck and the Stiggy bike improves. (I think Hopper will ride the wheels off it anyway!)
