SUPERBIKE cheated me!
      #40207 - 22/03/2009 06:42

I can't help but feel cheated.....

I just bought two tests by Superbike magazine from their website.
The March 2006 test "The Mild one" of the Suzuki GSR600 and the August 2006 test (First Class) of a few 'first bikes' in which the GSR600 is featured. The first test lists the GSR600 specs, on page 31, as a copy-and-paste job from a Honda litre-bike!! The author is still confused with the use of principal/principle. Various other errors abound. The "First Class" test lists the Suzuki as having a steel tube truss frame !!! (page 54)

Honestly, do you people actually ride these bikes before you write about them??

The 3.80GBP I paid for these tests is well over ZAR70.00 here in the colonies, my lad, and it is the Queen's language you are murdering !!!

Now, pay attention. Write properly and I want my money back.

Apologies Herman - I'm sure we'll be able to sort something out. I've PM'd you.

Nothing like a bit of courtesy, tact and diplomacy, Herman.

And that was nothing like.........

Looks like Al will sort you, though, no questions asked. Trust you'll be posting a sufficienly humble "thank you".

SUPERBIKE sorted me! [Re: xxrider]

Gents

Al, many thanks for your attention to this. I am sure that it will get sorted. I regard your magazine as a top quality, authoritative resource, so I was disappointed with the issues in these tests. (Probably indicentally ONLY these two tests - considering my luck....)

I firmly believe in the maxim that "there cannot be war while people are talking" and, since we are talking, an amicable resolution cannot be far off.

I responded to Alan's prompt PM and I trust all is well again.

Regards

H

If it is any consolation I first came on here to point out that some stats on the then new 07 R1 were very wrong. The stats got sorted. I stayed.
