Yep a good day slow moving traffic wasnt a problem as the group was made up mostly of racers getting some practice in for the first BSB round and support races including 2 x RC8 riders from the new series and Steve Mercer on the new big bang R1.Must admit being out on track with that lot did help me get me finger out some of them riders are awesome quick and it was good to share the tarmac with them for the day.

Yep one of me best, i even managed a wheelie whilst counter steering which i dont intend in doing again unless im sure i have the bars straight before putting the front back down thank heavens for steering dampners

Ha Dog as you know no rain, how did the evening go?
Thanksd Steph had a great day when I could see and breath.  I woke up feeling pretty shit with cough, got to the track and kept misting up not so I was blind but the first three sessions were conducted with a misty visor.
Learnt a valuable lesson too later in the day.DON'T try to hang on to Jon Pearson when he comes past. I saw the error of my ways as I had what felt like a big slide as I got greedy with the throttle out of clearways. (probably only tiny but it should be on my video)I calmed down after that and made myself write 100 times You are not a riding god. You are not a riding god.
It was good to catch up with 1DOG.

Sounds similar to my rule, except mine's don't try to keep up with ANYONE when they come past.

I had a realy good day thanks, although I feel like crap ATM though cest is really tight only did 4-5 laps after dinner I was riding realy badly.

Hi Chappers good to meet up again i had a shit one too.The group was banged out and traffic city i got very frustrated with the whole thing.Then to top that someone decided to try and out drag me out of Graham Hill and nearly high sided right in front of me i dont know how he saved it but it put the wind right up me as i nearly hit him up the arse.
To be fair the group was an inter and fast mix but some of the group got moved down to novice it was that bad,every time i tried to put a lap together all i could see was a wall of brake lights at every bend.
I wont be entertaining an evening session again in the near future they are just too packed and the different skill levels are vast, making it a bit hairy so you end up going round at everyone elses pace in order to play it a bit safe.Everybody who booked had a right to ride and im not saying they should ride how i want them too to suit me they paid there money and are intitled ride,i think the problem was me thinking i can have the same room and pace as i do on an advanced day session.
Cheers for the rubber John i will put them to use in the future no doubt.
One good thing that came out of the session was that i done some more work on my body positioning and found that the bike turned much quicker with less effort, by getting my bulk in the right place.

The problem with the eve sessions is the fact there are only two groups and as you say it does highlight the difference in abilities. It's the organisers who should be held accountable I'm afraid, too much pack em in take the cash I think. How they feel they can justify the groups and then bang on about safety during the briefing is beyond me sometimes.
I wouldn't say I had a shit day though I enjoyed mine, got the videos all downloaded now.
PS go easy on those tyres to start they've been hanging around my garage for a while.

I've not put it up anywhere it's on my puter ATM I have to be a bit careful as I signed a disclaimer re posting vids on the net. But I'm sure a mate has a video taken many moons ago of a similar bike to mine at Brands.
