I got the impression that this forum is provided free of charge for people to swap ideas get help and discuss various motorcycling related and non related subjects, by a magazine and it's staff that relys on advertising to make ends meet. Not to provide free advertising for every cheapskate Tom Dick or Harriet, I think the polite way would be to pay them for an advert or if you really had your head screwed on invite a few journos over for a day and have them write a review. your post will be read by maybe 50 people tops a magazine advert or article 20-30k readers (not sure what the circulation figures are TBH. I wish your company all the luck in the world if this is your idea of efficent advertising.

Serioulsy though. We are intending to use the magazine for advertising. Our intention was not to offend you and if we have then I apologise. Mearley getting the ball rolling on spreading the word on something I am very passionate about and hoped that others would find it of interest. If the Forum is not meant to be used for this then thats fine. To be honest I just want to tell the world as everyone who joins us loves it and the passion spreads. Everyone should know what off roading can give you! We have also invited journalists to join us already. I just cant wait (typical woman!). I apologise for being sarcastic with you. However, I felt your comments came across as a personal insult! I didnt think the forum was meant for that either.

I do go off road regally as do my three sons or I did until I broke my ankle last year, sadly due to cash flow I sold my bike Wednesday evening week (CRF450) I'm not sure if I'll bother getting another now I may just spend the days overseeing the boys. I'm not wound up in the least, I'm just not impressed with people who don't contribute to an organization using it for their personal gain that's all, I find it rude but that just my opinion Christ knows if SB even give a dam. I wish you all the best with your venture and look forwards to reading the article. I don't get upset or bothered by many things said to me on the Internet I don't really take it too seriously once the page is closed life goes on. I'd rather chop my right bollock off than ride a BMW off road although I was eyeing up a KTM day.

Nope.
Not an insult. Chappers was right to call you on this. Your first post was an Ad. You appear to have had no prior association with SB or the Forum at all.
If you had been here before, you will have seen every now and then a few folk got far worse for doing the same.
This is a community and it is just a touch facile to believe that it is here for your own personal ad campaign. As Chappers suggests take out an Ad and/or make some sort of contribution/contact first.

Very unusual for an ad poster to stay and respond though. It's a good sign. Welcome Steph.
Wotyamean you used to have bollocks. Have you had a sex change?

Top of the morning to ya Mr. B
Don't talk to me about fuck'n tea. I'm on a no-carb diet 'cos the old six pack was turning into a barrel. So that means no sugar in my tea. It's such a crap drink really. Gotta get the stimulants in somehow though.
Are you getting pissed up on some nice red?

Lemon. I forgot about that. I'll give it a try.
Don't think I'm coming over. I'm a bit poor these days and would only come over if my Mum pays. (I come over to visit her) She is a bit too scatty to get it together so it's unlikely.

I did wonder, the weak pound +etc. Shame I think this summer is going to be a good one weatherwise.
Been meaning to ask, is the quote from Zeitgeist the film (which I have yet to see)?

Yes it is. I watched it and the Addendum which is even better IMO. Made me feel quite optimistic about the future. I have always hated the Mammom worshipping Corporatocracy that we live in and done my best to stay out of it. I've enjoyed hearing people like Noam Chomsky moaning about it but never really heard of a possible future that would be (IMO) a realistic and better way of living. But this strikes me as a very good idea. Here's hoping.
