I've just been sitting in front of the box ready to watch MotoGP on BBC3(thanks RevRun) started off promising but who's fucking idea was it to get that utter twat Steve Parrish to ride shouting incomprehensible commentary whilst pussy footing around the track on a bloody BMW. BBC why not just get footage from a rider and overlay the commentary so we can at least make out some words.
Other than that what an anti climax.

Should never have given it to the arabs IMO.
No matter how big the bribe.
That circuit has always been inferior.

I was also wathching BBC3 and even though they could do nothing about the race being cancelled, I would of thought given the motorcycle orientated viewer at the time there should have been a motorcycle orientated alternative. An old race, or even Charlie Boring, "Two pints of lager" just does not cut the mustard. What do these people get paid the big bucks for?

They put on the last 17 laps of the very first qatar race here.
Not much of a substitute though.
Let's hope they put it on in a few hours.

We got the 125 and then the 250 race (cos of the national interest) the MotoGp wasnt scheduled-so my wife called the TV company and was told that there were no plans to show any of the MotoGp as Dorna wanted to much money.I called my son in Germany and as far as he was concerned it was the same story. If this is true then IMO this will be the demise of MotoGp-as without any TV coverage Im sure the sponsers who pay shit load of money to have their names on the bikes will pull the plug if no one will see it. Given the financial times we live in I really cannot understand Dorns atitude-
BTW- a win after just 4 laps must be such a hollow victory.
:Still, I off to set up the recorder for the BSB

i watched the 125 on BBC what crap commentary all trying to shout over each other no technical stuff.
The high side that kid done on the KTM was awesome, got up got the bike going and carried on.
Could that canceled round play into Rossis hands ? as we all know how strong Stoner is around there,Next up Motegi hope we get race this time.
Hats off to eurosport for showing some old 990 classic stuff after the 250 gp.

Just found this

http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2009/Joint+statement+on+Qatar+race+postponement

Basically they've postponed the race until tonight, 9pm local time.
How the TV is going to cover it at short notice is beyond me.

Yup.
postponed to 9 pm local time. 4 am here.
My guess is that they will just include it in the next scheduled repeat on our satellite TV here.
Perhaps they will do that over there too.

BBC have it on the Red button at 7PM our time, although I may well await it's airing on eurosport.
Immi it will also be aired on the BBCs website Iplayer I think so it will be available there and on MotoGP.com on subscription.

I watched it on Eurosport, sounds like the BBC commentary may have been more entertaining than the procession - sorry race.

I hope that isn't going to be the standard setter for the season or I might have to start watching F1. At least they all cheat in that so there's something to talk about afterwards.
