Another rabbit out of the hat Chappers with that link . Welcome to the forum Tommo,I had an off last year and would of felt fine except i done my knee on one of the upper crash bungs needless to say they got aimed up the garden as they didnt stop the panel damage in that instance, i would rather replace the panel then do my knee again. I have however kept the lower ones that require no cutting and the bar ends that did protect the tank.

TOMMO21UK.....Hmmm are you 21 sqn 33 engr regt eod????
Anyway ...I've always had R&G bungs on my bikes....as long as you can slide and don't hit drains , kerbs etc they are superb....I had an off near to where I live in Wales..the bike slid 40 yards on the crash bung..minimal damage to the bike....bung was fucked mind...
£100 to sort out the bits n pieces........If the R&G bung hadn't been on I was looking at £900 plus........
They get my vote...

I would not put the swing arm paddock stand ones on, as they seem to *cause* more damage to the swing arm than they cure-they often seem to rip chunks out of the swing arm because the ally is thin.

Most of the ones I used or fitted in the past I've cut down so the protrude enough to protect the body work. TBH though I think the price is a piss take considering what they are. You can clean the round ones after cutting by mounting in a drill and smoothing off with a file a sand paper. The oval ones can be tidied similarly, although I've found a heat stripper gun used carefully and sand paper give a good finish.
