JPs "Riding Skills"-June Issue
      #41489 - 21/04/2009 09:38

I had a read of the free supplement with Junes issue and found JPs article both well informed and excellent advice. In the section "wrist assured"I would add that when it comes to road riding I was taught "acceleration sense" ie the ability of the rider to vary the speed of this motorcycle by accurate use of the throttle.eg when picking off vehicles with the presence of oncoming traffic, not blasting passed then having to brake like fuck behind the next vehicle. Rather, timing it to zip passed then throttling back to glide in between the vehicles without braking. Not only does it not put others out but makes you look like you know what your doing
And in the sections "How to attack panic" and "crash test for dummies" a simple tip when it comes to approaching junctions(and you have right of way) If the side roads are open and you can see a vehicle approaching the give way line, try to ensure that you have exited the danger area before that vehicle gets to the junction. If not time it so you can have plenty of time to see and react to what hes gonna do.Never expect that youve been seen. Nice work JP

There are currently 'Think bike' signs on the motorway matrix, M2 junction 4.I personnaly want the tshirt from Far Canal.biz:"Think bike, see bike, get the fuck out of bikes way"
