We don't normally 'do' charity for a host of reasons, but here you go, this sounds alright to me:
The CJ Fund is pleased to announce the first 'Walk in the Park' sponsored walk or run at Oulton Park on the Sunday night (3rd May) prior to the British Superbike races on Monday morning (4th May). Similar to the now established Cadwell Park Cycle Race, fancy dress is optional and this will give the public the opportunity to walk or run this fantastic circuit. This is first of what is hoped to be an annual occurrence to raise money for the CJ Riders Fund who this year are purchasing 300 metres of soft barriers systems (air fencing). In previous years the Fund have provided the medical centre with a mobile X-ray machine, three physios, an ice machine and funded the Air Ambulance at Cadwell Park last year. The event gets underway after official qualifying on the Sunday evening, at around 7pm and the entry fee is a MINIMUM donation/sponsorship of £20 for Adults and £10 for children under the age of 16 to ride, all proceeds go to the CJ Fund and all walkers/runners will be given an official wrist band, which must be worn during the event. Spectators are all welcome but be prepared to donate kindly to the various CJ Girls dotted around the circuit. It will be one lap (two for runners!) of the Oulton Park short circuit cutting across from Cascades to Hislop's. Registration is available on Saturday and Sunday at the CJ Stand. Booking forms and sponsorship forms are available to download at www.cjnine.com or by e-mailing carly.rathmell@btinternet.com, registration forms and donation/sponsorship money and booking forms need to be handed in at the CJ stand in exchange for a wristband. What is SuperBike?
SuperBike is an irreverent, humorous and massively informative magazine for all kinds of bikers. The staff has decades of testing and riding experience and are all still passionate about bikes. Biking is – or should be – great fun as well as a huge thrill.
