PP Tuning Rearsets - any good?
      #41656 - 27/04/2009 19:17

Hi all, Normally I fit Gilles rearsets to my bikes but I noticed PP Tuning produce some for about £150 less. Normally you get what you pay for, but are they too good to be true at £260? Anybody out there using them?

What bike you got? I've been impressed by Diamond security in the past although I've no experience but given the choice would use them over Gilles in fact I'd opt for anything over Gilles except the cheap Chinese shit available.

2009 R1. Impatience to change the OE sets led me to the PP, it's an Italian product by all accounts and they are used by a few BSB/WSB teams. That's all I know so far, team endorsement is fine, but they only have to use them for 20-odd laps every fortnight and change them however many times they want!

Check these guys out I've used them myself and like their kit they are based on the SATO design, infact I have aset of SATOs on my current bike and have the replaced the pegs with Diamond security ones.

I you have a suggestion for improvements he'll listen to you I highlighted an issue I had with his origional pegs regarding having them Knurled right to the end as my foot kept slipping off on trackdays. He'd already found the issue and had just finished redesining the pegs sent me out a pair FOC. The only other slight down side was that the anodising was soft but I think they have redressed that.
Harris are also doing some deals I think so they'd be worth a bell I got a set of 2006 ZX6r rearsets (same as 07)for £110 sipped last year good kit too.

Thanks for the link, I'll consider the options on this one - seems the 09 R1 isn't catered for at this stage, earyly days. Will bide my time. Cheers
