In typical "nothing better to do" style while on a trip to LLandovry today we got pulled over and fined (£30) for having plates too small on our bikes. Yes I know 9x7 is the law and all that but we all had 7x5 with clear standard lettering, in my opinion perfectly readable .... have they really not got anything better to do.
We were told they are only stopping bikes and will be doing so again tomorrow.... they did check Pipes, Tax etc as well but it seemed to be all about plates.
We met another 20 bikers at the Cafe in LLandovry with the same thing ....
This sort of "childishness" really hacks me off when you see the real crime that gets ignored - bikes are a soft target ... its not the actual fault of the police officers - its the idiots above them ...

From what i have read in MCN in the past it seems the Welsh police hate bikes.

Yet another example of why the police have so much respect from the public nowadays.
Never mind while they are hassling bikers I suppose they're not beating up protesters. (or catching thieving scum, drug pushers, muggers, etc)

I think it's nice to see that they're concerned with our safety though. How many accidents have they prevented by clamping down on small plates and loud exhausts?

I banged my head on my cans earlier and scrached my face on the numberplate when I jumped, if the cans had been legal I wouldn't have jumped because I'd have been out cold, even if I had I wouldn't have scrached my face cos the plate would have been bigger. I'm going to Battle Police staion to hand myself in.
