Bad day
      #41959 - 06/05/2009 19:16

I'm having a rather shit day, so excuse the rant.
It started off by dropping my bike off at 9.15 at a dealers to have the FI light looked at. I suspect that it's the exhaust valve sticking as if you turn it with some pliers the light goes out.
I was told that it would be about an hour, I said fine as I had some errands to run and would probably be back in 2.
After forgetting to take the correct credit card (and get a bollocking from the wife) I arrived to collect at 12.15.
That's a total of 3 hours they've had to look and diagnose the fault.
Sorry sir we haven't had it in yet.
It was booked for 9 this morning.
Yes well some other jobs have overrun. We'll get it in after the service that is currently underway. It'll be another hour and a half.
Don't bother I can't wait any longer.
Therefore after wasting a complete morning and half a tank of fuel I still have the light on.
And the cheeky fuckers have just sent me a text about a sale weekend this weekend! They can fuck off.
Anyone know of a good Suzuki dealership in the south east. Preferably in the Medway or Maidstone area?
Lagunas are shite.
Rant over

On the up side, I pulled my first wheelie yesterday, totally accidental, first gear 70mph down a motorway slip road. Scared the shit out of me

It wouldn't have been too bad but the slip road has a slight left bend which I was negotiating at the time. The only reason I know the front wheel wasn't where it was supposed to be was because it was turning right while the bike was going left

Premier motorcycles in West Wickham kent, not exacly where you were looking for but not to far. When I had Suzukis they were allways very good, and allways had a loan bike if you were getting a service.

I know how you feel about Laguna's.Bought my speed triple from them had the first service done there promised a loan bike didn't materialise so I had to hang around Maidstone for the best part of the day.Started going to Boyers they shut down.Back to Laguna, bike was running rough so give them a call.No loan bike but they reckoned it just needed new plugs. They said it wouldn't take long, three hours later I call them they say it's been ready for the last hour, but not called me.Hello Carl Rosner.

I would write into them saying how shit the service is and that your thinking of writing in to MCN problem page, see what response you get from that mate.
As for the wheelie i dont know how to do one but it happens to me quite alot, great fun in a scary sought of way.

Cheers may give them a call. It's ok as long as they can do it while I wait (or maybe I could get one of my mates to pick me up and we could go for a game of golf, 4 hours should be plenty of time to look at it).
The annoying thing is I bought the bike from them and have had the all the servicing done there without any problems.
I'm hoping it's going to be a warranty job.

I bought a Monster from Lagunas back in 95/96 took them all day to do the "first service" all that was done was oil and filter didn't check chain etc. although I did get a loan bike XJ600 Diversion.
Took it to Alfs after that.

Bit late to this!

How about Sturdeys in Tonbridge? They're a Suzuki main dealer:

I've not bought a new bike from them, but they do my MOTs and serviced the Missus...

...er, I mean, her Kawasaki!

Seem like nice guys!

Homeopaths! Save money on petrol by filling up at the water pump. Your bike will remember the petrol from your previous fill.

I am late on this too. Push for a new zorst, Monkiboy. I got one after they first "loosened" the valve and three days later it stuck. I now have new titanium down pipes and valve BUT it has stuck once already
P&H near Gatwick did mine.

If it happens much more it will be rewire and angle grinder time. Should save a bit of weight if nothing else, but i will need more tyre squaring dyno runs.

It would be nice if the bastards actually looked at it when it was booked in!
I want to get it sorted ASAP, the warranty runs out in September.
Failing that, I see Cresent have got a good deal on a set of Yoshis
