Does anyone know what they law says about being caught with an illegal plate more than once (don't ask!)

Don't think there's anything in the law, just if it's the same copper he's more likely to do you for every little thing he can.

You dont say in which way it was illegal?
Did you get a FP in the first??? instance? And if I recall correctly its not endorsable-if thats the case then like BH says-nowt unless your really unlucky and get the same O of the L But its worth remembering they can take the plate away as well if they feel minded to
But tell me-is it worth it? I mean innit easier to just put a standard size or should I say one that doesnt attract attention-to avoid the hassle?

Well my plate is "LEGAL" and "ILLEGAL"

It was clear enough and secure enough to pass an MOT so it must be "Legal", but , it doesn't have the manufacturers details at the bottom of it which makes it "Illegal".

The MOT inspector said that the government is trying to sort out the two different sets of rules that the police and MOT inspectors use. If they are confused how the hell do they expect us to understand what is right and what is wrong.

I will always have a legal plate etc because I have nothing to hide.

I will always have an "illegal" plate because big ones look silly.

They can revoke your number and issue you with a Q plate , i had a letter warning me of this.
