Major shock at Thruxton as three wildcard entries beat off some stiff opposition to claim the Viagra Cup and dominate the podium. 1st Biggles - Team Sanatogen Suzuki 2nd FJ - Saga Holidays Yamaha Racing 3rd Tibs - Tena for Men Industrial Strength Kawasaki

*your text was far better than mine FJ

Looked like a great day. One question. Who is that in the R1 jacket having a pee amongst the bikes?

Looks to me like FJ got the best prize. Who needs Viagra with a podium like that eh!

Its Biggles shirt that tops it-you ride in a shirt like that or did you put it in for prize giving?

That was the shirt for the day - it was a very hot day
If you look carefully between FJ and I, one of my Berkenstocks attached to the waist strap of my jacket got slightly tangled with FJ. It was in kidney protection mode prior to being deployed for foot cooling duties.

Yeah, it was a really good day. Trouble is, now I've tasted the podium (albeit in 2nd) I find myself wanting more. Ah well, Brands Hatch and Cadwell Park BSB rounds in August beckon. How are we gonna top Thruxton, Biggles?
*Edit* Just noticed in first pic that someone has actually put a bike cover on their motorcycle. Maybe they'd bumped into piss-happy R1 man in pic 2 on a previous occasion. Now it all makes sense.

..... And there was me thinking it was the rather delightful young lady on my right not wanting to let go of me.
Dammit. Another illusion shattered.

Dress as Bishops, bless the bikes at "Druids". Telly time, a live interview on the grid with the Bishops of Battle, Mitcham and Caversham - the C of E embraces BSB.
Either way pitpasses seem the way forward.
Looking at the calendar beginning to wonder about a BSB Mallory Park outing.

Sounds like a plan, Biggles. August is a long way away so maybe Mallory would bridge the gap quite nicely. I'll check my diary. Pitpasses are now de rigueur following our podium success at Thruxton methinks.
In the meantime, the trackday bug is beginning to bite again so I reckon I'm gonna have to do an evening or two at Brands soonish ..... and I'm long overdue a return visit to Cadwell Park as well - Jeez I love that place.

Exorcism at the Devils Elbow.

Dunno why (well, yes I do really) but this pic came bouncing into my mind for some reason.

I like him. Even though he can be a bit forgetful about visas and not doing an Exocet impression into an unsuspecting Gallic Suzuki. I'd bet my pension he's now top of Rutter's Christmas card list though.

Ah yes, he really could do with a good excorsing, the other pits 4 people deep and his was not.
He came across as a genuinely nice guy, and seems truly sorry about the Guintoling.
So Mallory Park for the next Viagra Cup outing?*
*I cannot now do Cadwell as planned, a really good friend has decided to get married that weekend in Devon, just a little too far to nip un noticed mid ceremony

Yep, Mallory Park is looking like positive at the moment. Probably only raceday though and then hopefully all 3 days at Brands Hatch.
Shame you can't make Cadwell. Still, at least that leaves the top step clear for me. Unless, of course, you get Rutter to cover your absence on the Sanatogen Suzuki, in which case I'm fooked ..... maybe
