Well Im sorry but Im showing off. Im at a town called Livorno-on the west coast of Italy-at a cafe/restaurant with wifi(and a nu Asa mini lap top)-my wife is at work(translator)in Firenze. Ive had a yummy dinner of something fishy(Bream???) covered in a yummy sauce with a local and cheap but delicious chardonny wine.Weather is tops! The purpose of this frenetic message? Well Im wearing my team Rizla Caparossi shirt- the amount of peeps calling out.coming over for a chat and giving the thumbs up is amazing-I love Italy-gonna have to buy a summer place here-trying to get some pics but they all keep blocking it out

Not only that but he is in one it's most beautiful parts too.
Only been once but it made a real impression. I *love* the hills around Umbria.

My mothers family come from little village in the mountains a little way down called Gesualdo, my dads Family from Scicily.
Sadly I haven't been for a long time we all had a big falling out and I've only since Christmas had contact with my dads side of the family when one of my cousins contacted me through Genes reunited.
Lovely country and many happy memories.

I stayed a while in Impruneta (to the south of Florence).
It is a hard place to beat. The views are stupendous-no wonder the renaissance painters liked it so much. The food, wine and coffee is, well, Italian and fab, and the roads-the country ones are winding strips of dusty perfection.
Writing that I am really wondering what on earth I am doing here?
