I wanted to go to BSB at Cadwell but have been invited to a wedding (which I have to go to).
Just seen the wedding is to the east of Leeds - almost the same level as Cadwell.
Cunning plan: To nip over on Sunday morning complete with predictable hang over and the less predictable Mrs Biggles.
I need to know what the car parking is like at Cadwell on a race day? Both arriving and leaving, before I spring my surprise added value plan on my long suffering Mrs.

I've had good and bad experiences at Cadwell. Get there early enough and going in is def no problem.
Leaving seems to be a bit of a lottery though without much rhyme or reason. Generally it's reasonably quick though, they at least have a 'master plan'. It's certainly better than some tracks, and I'm thinking specifically of that dis-organised fuck up otherwise known as Donington, although TBH they'd need to practise for several years to get that bad.
Just tell the wife you'll be in and out in no time at all and if you get stuck in a big queue tell her some forum wanker called FastBikerBoy said it would be quick.

My favourites tend to move every so many years. Spot of choice at the moment is on the start finish straight (opposite side) more or less level with the bends at the bottom of the mountain.
They've cut down a couple of the trees that used to be the only annoying thing there. From there you can see through the chicane, up and through the mountain until they disappear into hall bends and then pick them up again along the start/finish and into the braking area for coppice.
I've also found the outside of both Charlie's and Chris curve to be exciting viewing but more restricted in how much circuit you see.

Yep, I'll be there on raceday. See you there. Are you going to Brands this weekend, Biggles?
Apologies, I never made it to Mallory Park to see the Australian torpedo in action as I ended up on the 'Blade that weekend doing an open day at Wadhurst on Saturday and a classic car show at Bodiam on Sunday.

Cheeky
The only showing I tend to do on the old R1 is showing Gixxer pilots a clean pair of heels on trackdays.

Not quite such a cunning plan, Biggles, as raceday is on Bank Holiday Monday 31 August.
At least you'd be guaranteed a good pitch before the hordes turn up 24 hours later.

Mmmmmmmm ...... feeling hungry now.
Us R1 boys ain't quite as refined.

Actual photo rather than my usual googled offerings. Staple diet at this particular venue - helps to soak up all the alcohol.

Just realised I ain't been there for a couple of years. It became a bit of a family outing at one time.

OK - final clue.

Happy days.

FJ, Immy
In the "fast food" one-upmanship stakes, I gotta say that FJs chips do look far more appetising than Immy's continental, skinny fries. You can't beat a good, chunky, thick cut, golden brown fried in engine-oil British chip, made from proper taters lovingly hand cut by craftsmen who's family have been frying for generations. Can't stand the "powdered potato squeezed from a tube" American/European style French Fry. And is that tartare bloody sauce with the fish n chips? And slices of lemon. Poncey!
One-nil to the UK!

The fries look like proper tato XX although the batter looks wrong to me. I like tartar sauce on seafood.
