Meet the BSB paddock in George Square
July 1, 2009 - Alan Dowds
British Superbike circus hits the north, with Knockhill round this weekend, and a PR shindig at George Square this evening (Wed) ... Scroll down for the full story
Speaking as someone who used to race round Glasgow's George Square on his old Kawasaki GPz550 courier bike, I'm very happy to see the BSB paddock turning up there for a PR blitz.
Kicking off at 5pm tonight (Wed), Superbikes in the Square will see the teams hooning round the city streets, with pillion rides, live bands, and a chance to meet the riders.
It's all a prequel to the main event of course: Sunday's Knockhill round of the BSB series. With Leon Camier and Airwaves Yamaha sailing off into the distance at the top of the leader board, can anyone challenge them? Probably not, we say, but you never know.
If you can't make it to George Square or Knockhill, then it's all on that Eurosport:
