Dainese legend guided tours
June 30, 2009 - Jon Pearson
Fancy going for a nice ride in the mountains with Giacomo Agostini? What about Max Biaggi? ... Scroll down for the full story
Italian motorcycle clothing brand of the rich and famous, Dainese, is running a 'Tour' in September, which appears to be quite special. Over 1,000kms in the Italian Dolomites, with three nights away and some very special guest tour guides.
It's a competition basically and all you have to do to enter is buy any Dainese kit over £213/€250 and register on the Dainese website
The winner will be flown to Vicenza, Italy, collect the keys for a bike (provided by sponsors MV Agusta, Ducati and Moto Guzzi) and ride for three days - each day accompanied by a different Dainese legend (in no particular order) Giacomo Agostini, Max Biaggi and Marco Lucchinelli.
They're all pretty old these days but there are a few world titles littered between them so you might find a good story or two over a capuccino or two. Besides, the chance to ride with a legend, see him fill up with petrol, or pull up alongside them at the lights and flick the kill switch has got to be worth it.
More info can be found on the Dainese tour competition website or by calling in (and spending 200-odd quid) at your local Dainese store.
