No. Kawasaki UK is not really giving away its new for 2008 ZX-10R or new-last-year ZX-6R but there are good deals ... Scroll down for the full story
You can only assume that early season sales of the new 2008 ZX-10R haven't been quite what Kawasaki UK had hoped for, because the big K has just announced seriously attractive deals on the two Ninjas in the range. Here's the press guff:
"Ninja Choice is the incredible new promotion from Kawasaki that will be launched on June 4 and available on both the awesome Ninja ZX-10R and its diminutive Supersport brother, the Ninja ZX-6R. Customers can choose from three tempting options when purchasing a brand new Ninja during the promotional period.
All three amazing Ninja Choices will put a smile on riders' faces and make buying a new Ninja their top priority.
If making the cost affordable is top of the agenda customers can take advantage of an amazing 0% APR (Typical) finance deal with three years to pay. With no deposit required this is a great option for the wallet in these cash strapped times - important when some finance schemes in the market appear to offer a great deal and then require a huge deposit as a down payment.
If insurance is a high priority, then customers who qualify can opt for free fully comp insurance courtesy of Kawasaki's very own K-Care Insurance scheme.
Finally, if customers want to add even more excitement to their new purchase and experience the Ninja's full on track focus – and learn a thing or two about their riding skills at the same time – then £700 of track day vouchers will be their winning option. Kawasaki has teamed up with specialists Hottrax to offer Track Day vouchers valid for track time in the UK and, subject to availability, at a selection of famous foreign tracks.
Ninja Choice is just the beginning for Kawasaki fans in 2008. Ninjafest is coming - a summer long celebration of all things Ninja. There will be opportunities for people to test ride Ninja machines, as well as special offers, exclusive competitions and prizes. With more exciting announcements and information still to come, this summer promises to be as exciting as the cutting edge, hardcore and unconventional Ninja concept itself."
Right then. The terrible truth is that Kawasaki sent me a watch – a Kawasaki watch of course – with a green and black strap as a bribe to publicise this offer. The first Kawasaki owner who emails me a pic of themselves with their Kawasaki on a track, can have it. Kenny_Pryde@ipcmedia.com is my address.
