Suzuki launches 'new' enduro model for 2010 based on RM-Z450 motocrosser ... Scroll down for the full story
Suzuki will make a return to the enduro market later this year (with a 2010 model?!), with the introduction of the all-new RMX450Z.
Based on the RM-Z450 motocross machine, the enduro model answer demands from Suzuki's off-road customers.Lights, electric start, a side-stand and an 18-inch rear wheel are the basic points marking the RMX from the RM-Z. No bigger tank you might cry but in our experience (we have an RM-Z450 on our test fleet) it's a fairly economical bike and surprisingly useful in an enduro.
Suzuki GB's David Taylor commented, "The public have been asking us for this bike at shows and dealers for sometime now, so we are delighted to bring it to the market, and with such a great specification. Features like the electric start with kick included too and the 18-inch rear wheel, show that this is a bike developed especially for enduro from the factory and not just a converted motocross machine. On top of the chassis features, the fuel-injected 450cc engine is sure to make this one of the most competitive machines available next season."
The recommended price is to be confirmed, Suzuki GB expect the new RMX450Z to arrive in the autumn of this year. And p.s, if customer pressure works like this then get pressuring for a DR-Z450 road/SM version, you know it makes sense.
Key RMX450Z Points:
Fuel Injected 450cc engine
18-inch rear wheel
Lighting Kit
Electric Start (and kick)
Digital Instruments (featuring standard and sport mode)
Sidestand
Sump guard as standard
Enduro specific suspension set-up
