Leo Vince Factory SBK exhaust
In this day and age, where catalytic converters and noise-killing baffles impose cruel penalties on manufacturers, there's still scope for Leo Vince to make exquisite sets of pipe work which shed weight and adds power. Not to mention the highly important consideration of looking absolutely 'factory'.
Which, in the case of this Leo Vince Factory SBK titanium system for a Honda CBR600RR, is convenient. For your cash, you are getting something that looks about a million miles better than the stock end can that this will replace.
This full system tips the scales at a total of 4.4kg. Yup, that's all, about a little over 10 pounds. The end can alone weighs in at 1.6kg. For reference, the stock Honda CBR600RR tips the same scales at 7.7kg. That's a weight loss of over five pounds. The noise, with baffle in, is 102db @7,000rpm, which could get you into trouble at trackdays though, so be aware.
Needless to say it has a removable noise-killer baffle, which is easy to unbolt and remove and re-place should conditions and noise-limits on your track day demand it. It's only been in the studio to be snapped, but it all slipped together without so much as a sniff of complaint and it will be being fitted to – surprise surprise – the Team MidLife Crisis Honda, at which point I'll tell you about the precise amount of weight saved and power gained. You and I already know that it looks better than the stocker!
